Spice Up Your Apples!

Next time you grab an apple (I personally prefer Envy, they are so sweet), slice it up and sprinkle it with a little Cinnamon and Ginger! Not only will it add some yummy flavor, but these two spices together are packed with the health benefits! In a previous blog, we talked about cinnamon working to help control your blood sugar levels and help fight, diabetes, well so does ginger, making this a perfect and dynamic duo!


What are some of the other medicinal benefits of adding cinnamon and ginger to your apples, tea, or oatmeal? Well, here are just a few of the important ones:


  1. Helps fight nausea/morning sickness

  2. Protects against heart diaease

  3. Cancer fighting agents

  4. Used to help with weightloss

  5. Aids in digestion issues

  6. Anti-inflammatory and pain relief

  7. Keeps your mouth clean, lol

  8. Anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Yep, cinnamon can help clear up candidiasis and thrush!


I also find that an apple sprinkled with cinnamon and ginger in the morning gives me a high - energy start to my day!
