Let's Talk Hot Flashes!

Updated: Nov 19, 2023

I don't know about anyone else, but there were some nights that I felt like I was literally going to spontaneously combust! Night after night, I would wake from my sleep, boiling and dripping in sweat and then unable to fall back asleep. Is this you? Well, I'm here to tell you that there are alternative solutions to hormone pills and creams, girls! One way to provide relief was shared in a previous post, the DIY Cooling Spray, used with lavender and peppermint essential oils. Not only does this spray provide cooling relief, it will also aid in helping you fall back asleep when sprayed on your pillows and sheets!

Lavender and peppermint are not the only essential oils that assist in relieving hot flashes, as there are several that can aid in this and other menopausal symptoms! Did you know that sage (especially clary sage) is a hormone balancer and can can help regulate the body temperatures, reducing the affects of hot flashes and other symptoms of menopause. In addition, sage has a plethora of wonderful medicinal qualities, it truly is its own blog!

Don't go through another night of this torture! Here is a little oil blend you can make at home and please, start eating SAGE! Organic and non-GMO of course!

Simple "Chillin' Out" Essential Oil Blend (2 oz. Bottle):

- 10 drops Clary Sage essential oil

- 8 drops Rose essential oil

- 6 drops Lemon essential oil

Fill the remainder of the bottle with a carrier oil such as, coconut oil, sweet almond oil or even jojoba oil. Rub into pulse points on the neck, wrists, or behind the ears. Feet and the low back are also great areas for essential oils. I like to mix my oil into one of my plain or unscented body lotions for all-over-body use and it spreads more easily, too!

No time or motivation to make it yourself? No problem, I got your back! Just call or email me and I can get it to you in a FLASH, he he he!

Keep Cool, Ladies!! Make everyday magical!
